The New Venetian Gold Granite Countertop was the one I chose for my parents' kitchen when I was helping them with the renovation of their home a couple of months ago. They have mahogany cabinets and this countertop is the perfect match for them. The quality of the granite is also superb and we are absolutely happy with how the kitchen turned out.

  • New Venetian Gold’s gold and brown tones work naturally in several kitchen styles:

    Style Cabinet Pairing Effect
Traditional Oak or cherry wood cabinetry Warm, classic kitchen
Transitional Cream or off-white cabinetry Balanced, timeless palette
Modern Farmhouse White shaker cabinetry Bright contrast with rustic warmth
Contemporary Walnut or espresso cabinetry Rich, layered tone-on-tone
  • Yes. Like most natural granite, New Venetian Gold is porous enough that spills can eventually stain if the surface isn’t sealed. To keep it protected:

    • Apply a quality penetrating impregnating sealer at installation.
    • Re-seal at least once per year.
    • Check with the water bead test: if water soaks in rather than beads up, it’s time to reseal.

📏 How to Measure Your Countertop
▼

Choose your countertop shape and measure in inches:

Essential Measurement Tips:

  • Measure in inches: Use a tape measure and record all dimensions in inches for accuracy.
  • Account for overhangs: Standard overhang is 1–1.5 inches beyond cabinet edges.
  • Consider appliances: Measure around cooktops, sinks, and other fixtures that will be cut out.
  • Check for walls: If installing against walls, measure the actual wall length as walls may not be perfectly straight.
  • New construction: If you don't have existing countertops, measure the cabinet boxes and add overhang allowances.

Accurate measurement is the most critical step in your countertop project. Even small errors can result in expensive mistakes, material waste, or ill-fitting slabs. We strongly recommend scheduling a professional template measurement with our team.
