SF Real is a dramatic white-and-black granite from Brazil: black and gray veins cut sharply across a porcelain white background, with touches of burgundy, cream, and taupe. The high-contrast pattern makes a bold statement on islands and full kitchens and suits modern and transitional designs. SF Real comes in a polished finish in 2cm and 3cm slabs and can be used indoors or outdoors. As a natural granite, it handles heat well and needs periodic sealing to stay stain resistant.

Frequently Asked Questions

expand all answers
  • Yes. SF Real is a natural granite quarried in Brazil, and “Real” is part of its trade name. Like any natural granite, each slab has its own pattern, the stone is cold and heavy to the touch, and it needs periodic sealing. Engineered quartz, by comparison, has a more uniform look and doesn’t need sealing.

  • Slab sizes vary by lot. Distributor listings show SF Real slabs at about 126 by 63 inches, or roughly 55 square feet. An average kitchen often needs one to two slabs, depending on the layout, island size, and how the veining is matched across seams. Contact Granite Selection for a Chicago-area estimate based on your measurements.

  • Yes. Its bright white base and sharp black and gray veining read as clean and graphic, which suits modern and transitional kitchens with flat-panel or Shaker cabinets. It pairs well with black or stainless hardware, and because it’s natural granite, it can also extend to an outdoor kitchen.

📏 How to Measure Your Countertop
▼

Choose your countertop shape and measure in inches:

Essential Measurement Tips:
  • Measure in inches: Use a tape measure and record all dimensions in inches for accuracy.
  • Account for overhangs: Standard overhang is 1–1.5 inches beyond cabinet edges.
  • Consider appliances: Measure around cooktops, sinks, and other fixtures that will be cut out.
  • Check for walls: If installing against walls, measure the actual wall length as walls may not be perfectly straight.
  • New construction: If you don't have existing countertops, measure the cabinet boxes and add overhang allowances.

Accurate measurement is the most critical step in your countertop project. Even small errors can result in expensive mistakes, material waste, or ill-fitting slabs. We strongly recommend scheduling a professional template measurement with our team.
