Black granite has been around for 40 years, being used as a building material. But Black Galaxy Granite is one of the new types of countertops. Despite its newness, it became a popular choice everywhere in the world for at least two reasons: beauty and durability. Basically, granite countertops are pretty, but Black Granite arrests anyone with its unique charm. The deep black base is adorned with gold flecks. This Cosentino classiness goes well with many kitchen designs and creates a statement on its own.

This slab lives up to its name! it actually lightly glimmers at night when the right kind of light sweeps over it, because of the embedded copper grains. It is ultra-black in color, and how you pair it with your backsplash and cabinets will create a different vibe each time.

As white kitchens are becoming more and more popular, we wanted to opt for a countertop that went against the grain. Black Galaxy granite is exactly as beautiful as the name suggests. It has a rich black base adorned with small gold flecks throughout. It makes a statement in our kitchen and we love it!

📏 How to Measure Your Countertop

Choose your countertop shape and measure in inches:

Essential Measurement Tips:

  • Measure in inches: Use a tape measure and record all dimensions in inches for accuracy.
  • Account for overhangs: Standard overhang is 1–1.5 inches beyond cabinet edges.
  • Consider appliances: Measure around cooktops, sinks, and other fixtures that will be cut out.
  • Check for walls: If installing against walls, measure the actual wall length as walls may not be perfectly straight.
  • New construction: If you don't have existing countertops, measure the cabinet boxes and add overhang allowances.

Accurate measurement is the most critical step in your countertop project. Even small errors can result in expensive mistakes, material waste, or ill-fitting slabs. We strongly recommend scheduling a professional template measurement with our team.
